DAC Beachcroft

Challenge. Create a launch video to promote a rebrand for international law firm, DAC Beachcroft.

Solution. When your competitors are saying the same things in marginally different voices, it’s hard for a new brand to be heard above the noise. Our engaging script humanised the brand, focusing on One client at a time — the thing that sets DAC Beachcroft apart from their competitors. We told their story in a quiet, confident way, using simple graphic elements and subtle transitions.

I created the storyboard and art directed the motion-graphics.

 

All the graphics I created for the 68-frame storyboard were editable and used as assets for the final video.

 

The firm’s new identity was still under wraps so, naturally, a great deal of emphasis was put on the new DACB logo animation. In time, it became an end-screen animation for other promotional videos.

 

One of the best things about this project was working with an actual, real-life composer. Steven recorded the music track at home in a single take. He sat upstairs with patch leads running down to the kitchen where his assistant was recording.
