NSETC

NSETC

Challenge. To encourage parents to enrol their children in the North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College (NSETC); a college that didn’t exist. NSETC was a STEM school (science, technology, engineering and maths) without classrooms, teachers or pupils. The idea was that if enough interest was registered, the proposed college would be given the green light.

Solution. A targeted campaign promoting a new educational proposition with direct links to local industry. The curriculum’s technology bias was designed to develop a work-ready workforce.

I decided the creative approach, briefed writers and website developers and designed the identity and associated comms, including an awareness campaign.

Outdoor media, door-drops, open evenings, local press PR, advertising and brochures, to encourage early registration.

Prospects were directed to the website where enrolment was made as easy as possible with plenty of calls to action.

My prospectus series targeted different age groups, plus promotional comms to encourage local businesses to get involved in the initiative — a big part of the college’s appeal was the opportunity for meaningful work experience.

Pupils were required to manage their own progression via the college app.
